With utmost joy, the Pambansang Katipunan ng mga Magbubukid – National Democratic Front of the Philippines (PKM-NDFP) celebrate and express its warmest revolutionary greetings to all the Red commanders and fighters on the occasion of the 43rd founding anniversary of the New People’s Army (NPA) on March 29, 1969.
The PKM salutes the NPA as its true and own army in achieving greater victories in advancing the peoples’ war. We cherish the NPA as a peasant army that is waging a peasant war in order to liberate the peasant majority from feudal and semi-feudal bondage. Resolving the worsening land problem is still the main content of the armed struggle and, because of this, the peasantry continuously advance the peoples’ war and wage campaigns to cherish the people’s army.
Majority of the Red fighters come from the broad masses of peasants. The Filipino peasantry will continue to be a deep source of Red fighters as we shall wholeheartedly offer our best sons and daughters to join the NPA and serve the people.
At this stage of the Philippine revolution, it is the task of the PKM to surge forward to a new and higher level of the people’s war: to inflame the countryside with peasant struggles, arouse millions of peasants to join the armed struggle and the NPA.
Under the absolute leadership of the Communist Party of the Philippines, the NPA and the PKM will continue to launch anti-feudal campaigns of land rent reduction, increase in farmworkers’ wages, hike in the prices of agricultural produce, the abolition of usury and other forms of semi-feudal exploitation, and in more consolidated areas and wherever possible the maximum program of free land distribution to the landless tillers.
Vast tracts of lands owned and controlled by despotic big landlords in power, like the Cojuangco-Aquinos, remains as our main targets. Hacienda Luisita and other haciendas of Eduardo “Danding” Cojuangco Jr. are among our priorities for distribution to the peasantry.
The PKM will continue to cooperate with and support military offensives of the NPA against the fascist Armed Forces of the Philippines, Philippine National Police and para-military groups, including big businesses, like foreign and local mining companies engaged in the massive landgrabbing, forced eviction of peasants, and wide-scale plunder of our natural resources.
We are very much confident that in the very near future, we will be able to lead and launch peasant uprisings especially in the more advanced guerrilla fronts and revolutionary bases.
Down with imperialism, feudalism, and bureaucrat-capitalism!
Down with Aquino’s Haciendero regime!
Long live the 43rd anniversary of the NPA!
Long live the Filipino peasantry! Long live PKM-NDFP!
Long live the Communist Party of the Philippines!
Raise the peoples’ war to a new and higher level!
