BEIJING, Oct 23 (Reuters) – The subtle dropping of references to late Chinese leader Mao Zedong from two policy statements over the last few weeks serves as one of the most intriguing hints yet that the ruling Communist Party is planning to move in the direction of reform.

Mao has always been held up as an ideological great in party communiques, his name mentioned almost by default in homage to his role in founding modern China and leading the Communist Party, whose rule from the 1949 revolution remains unbroken.

Which is why the dropping of the words “Mao Zedong thought” from two recent statements by the party’s elite Politburo ahead of a landmark congress, at which a new generation of leaders will take the top party posts, has attracted so much attention.

Also absent were normally standard references to Marxism-Leninism.

The Revolutionary Front for the Defense of the People – FRDDP (Brazil), repudiates the presence in our country of the revisionist traitor Baburam Bhattarai, current Prime Minister of Nepal, at the UN conference “Rio +20,” held in the city of Rio de Janeiro between 20 and 22 June 2012.

Bhattarai in collusion with Puspa Kamal Dahal (Prachanda), betrayed the aspirations of the Nepalese people for a new society to put an end to
centuries of exploitation and oppression of feudalism, bureaucratic capitalism and imperialism.

The Nepalese people, who had been cruelly oppressed for centuries by feudalism and imperialism, took the path of armed struggle under the direction of
revolutionary Communist Party of Nepal (Maoist), in a heroic People’s War  in 1996.

For ten years the people’s war developed greatly, building a new power of workers and peasants, delivering and dividing land to the peasants in large parts of the country, representing a living hope for all the Nepalese people and the people of the world.

However, after these great advances, faced with the pressures of imperialism and reaction, the direction of the CPN(Maoist), headed by Prachanda and Bhattarai, betrayed the revolution and completely capitulated to imperialism and the bourgeoisie, and in 2006, made infamous peace agreements, under the baton of the UN to disarm the people and its glorious People’s Liberation Army, ending the glorious revolution initiated in 1996.

Prachanda and Bhattarai abandoned Marxism-Leninism-Maoism and joined revisionism, converted the  Maoist revolutionary party into a reformist and revisionist “Unified Communist Party of Nepal-CPN (Maoist).” These reformist leaders of the UCPM(M) betrayed the desire of the Nepalese people for a new society, exchanging, through agreements with imperialism, the struggle for a popular new democratic republic, into one more big government under the bourgeoisie and imperialism–exploitative and oppressive against the people–this time led by Bhattarai as prime minister.

Bhattarai, Prachanda, now equivalent to Hugo Chavez in Venezuela, Evo Morales in Bolivia, Rafael Correa in Ecuador, Fernando Lugo in Paraguay, Dilma and Lula in Brazil–real undercover agents of imperialism, that under the mask of “left” and “popular,” cheat and deceive the masses, in attempt to divert them from the revolutionary path, while committing the worst crimes against the proletariat and the people.

Russian police and troops clash with protesters in Moscow

Opposition leader Boris Nemtsov reportedly among those arrested on second day of protests against rule of Vladimir Putin

Police and interior ministry troops have clashed with protesters in Moscow during a second day of protests against the rule of Vladimir Putin.

Around 600 protesters were reported to have gathered near Triumphal Square in central Moscow, but they included many pro-Kremlin youths in blue anoraks who had also turned up, chanting: “Russia, Putin!” while the opposition protesters shouted: “Freedom!” and “Russia without Putin!”

The crowd was held back by dozens of riot police and it appeared that opposition supporters were struggling to make it past police to the rally. Moscow police spokesman Maxim Kolosvetov said about 250 people had been detained as scuffles broke out.

An Associated Press reporter saw at least two flare-type fireworks thrown into a crowd of pro-Kremlin demonstrators gathered outside the Tchaikovsky Concert Hall. It was not immediately clear who had thrown the devices or if they caused any injuries.

Earlier, thousands of police and troops flooded the streets of Moscow before the planned protest. According to the Associated Press, hundreds of police blocked off Triumphal Square, then began chasing demonstrators, seizing some and throwing them violently into police vehicles.

The Interfax news agency reported that among the detained was Boris Nemtsov, a leader of the liberal opposition and fierce critic of Putin.

It is a  matter of deep sorrow that the reactionary Indian  government has murdered Comrade Kisanji  alias Malloujula Koteswara Rao, Politburo Member of CPI (Maoist), in a fake incounter in Burishol forest area, west Midnapore District, Jangalmahal, West Bengal on 24 November 2011. He was a leading figure and spokesperson for CPI (Maoist) . According CPI (Maoist) statement issued to the media,  Kishanji  was arrested and tortured and then brutally killed.

Comrade Kissan is not unknown to us. We have already published his interviews in Nepalese magazines. In this moment, our Revolutionary Cultural-Intellectual Front strongly condemns the cold-blooded murder of Comrade Kisanji -a true revolutionary hero of the oppressed people of India.  And we urge to  all intellectuals and cultural activists of this region to denounce this cowardly killing of Comrade  Kisanji by the Indian reactionary forces.

In a famous article ‘Serve the People’, Comrade Mao has mentioned:  “Though death befalls all men alike, it may be weightier than Mount Tai or lighter than a feather. To die for the people is weightier than Mount Tai, but to work for the fascists and die for the exploiters and oppressors is lighter than a feather.”

 Yes, it is true Comrade Kishanji died for the people, and his death is indeed weightier than Mount Everest. From the bottom of our hearts we express our Red Salute to the people’s hero  Comrade Kisanji .

The Indian reactionary government has murdered Comrade Kisanji, but not his ideology. They can’t kill Marxism-Leninism and Maoism. The movement will continue, the revolution will continue.

We know the reactionary government of Nepal, an  Indian Puppet government led by Baburam Bhattarai and Prachanda, a new avatar of  Samanta (Fedual) will not denounce it. Now they are turned into the real traitor of Indian expansionism.  But we, the revolutionary intellectuals and  the  political activists who fought ten years People’s War and who are still fighting for the people’s liberation, are always with the brave communist fighters of India, oppressed people of India. In fact, the hundreds of millions of oppressed people of the world, who dream of liberation, are always with the oppressed people of India.  The red flag of revolution will not be bent down. The long march of revolution will not be stopped. Let us march ahead.

Baburam Bhattarai,  a production of India’s JNU, known as an  Indian man within the Maoist Party, now has become the Prime Minister of Nepal.  And we all know it was the conclusion of 4 point deal, done in midnight, between Prachanda, Bhattaria and Pro-Indian Mdhesi  Morcha, in  presence of Alok Joshi- the deputy chief of India’s notorious intelligence agency, RAW (Research & Analysis Wing).

In Palungtar extended meeting  Bhattairai  openly advocated in  favor  of Indian expansionism.  Not only this, he is openly   advocating Trotskyism  and opposing  Marxism–Leninism and Maoism. In recently given interview to the Indian daily The Hindu, he has come out in his real face. After all, he has proven himself  that he is a  true servant of Indian expansionism. 

“In a communist party, two line struggles are natural and we have successfully managed it so far and we will manage it in the future. I don’t see much obstacle. Even if some leaders and cadre may oppose or some splinter groups may move out, even then it won’t make much impact on the political line followed by the party.”

”Our party’s public position is that we need foreign direct investment in Nepal though the priorities will be decided by the Nepal government. There is no question of blocking the economic investment by Indian businesses or anybody else. Unfortunately, during this transition period, there have been certain misgivings and certain undesirable and unfortunate incidents have taken place. That is not in consonance with the official position of the party. I would like to assure all the foreign investors, both in India and elsewhere, that you are most welcome to invest in Nepal and the government will provide full security. Recently, we have passed a legislation for an investment board to facilitate investment within the country and I am trying to expedite that process.”

This is the real face of 21^st century’s renegade. Really, there will be no any impact, and obstacle on his politics, because he has got the support of Indian reactionaries. What a matter of irony! a Nepalese face with Indian mind.]

‘Nepal won’t jeopardize any genuine Indian interest’

In the middle of negotiations over cabinet formation and the future of the Maoist combatants, Nepal’s new Prime Minister Dr. Baburam Bhattaraitook time out for an exclusive interview to The Hindu on Friday afternoon at his office in Singha Durbar, the government secretariat. He spoke about the political challenges, the roadmap to achieve his stated objectives, and relations with India. Excerpts:

You had consistently argued for a consensus government, but are now heading a majority government. Why did efforts at forging a national consensus fail?

I am still for a consensus form of government because according to the Comprehensive Peace Agreement and the Interim Constitution, we need to take major decision through consensus. The Special Committee responsible for the integration process has to function through consensus and the constitution has to be adopted through a two-thirds majority. So to complete major tasks of peace process and write a new constitution, we need a broad consensus among the major parties. If we have a consensus government, it would facilitate those two processes. That conviction still prevails. But unfortunately, since that could not happen, the second choice was to start with a majoritarian and work for a consensus government. Even though I was elected by a majority, my efforts are directed towards forging consensus. Immediately after my election, I reached out to the Nepali Congress, UML and other parties. I hope it will bear fruit soon.
